Engaging Math Lessons with Creative Problem-Solving Approach

As an Elementary and High School Math tutor, I believe in making learning interactive and engaging for my students. I focus on hands-on and practical methods to help them understand complex concepts. My teaching style is concept-focused and detailed, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving skills. I assess each student's current skills and tailor lessons to their specific learning pace, targeting areas for improvement. My goal is to prepare students for success in math-intensive fields and help them achieve their academic goals. My approach begins with why, how, and then what. This means I discuss with my students, why is it important to learn a particular concept followed by how it should be done and what is the classification of that topic. It assists me in creating personalized learning plans that are flexible depending on students' growth patterns. It brings me to the student-centered approach. My assessment measures are Formative as well as Summative. So, you would hear me asking from time to time "Do you have any doubts?" Should we do more practice questions before moving to the next topic or sub-topic?" Is it too much information?'' So, phrases like these help me read your mind and your engagement level during sessions.
