Hi there! My name is Reagan Curry, and I am a professional actor and a vocal tutor. I have worked across the country with many companies such as RWS Global and Dollywood theme park and I am still currently working in the industry. With a Bachelor's degree in Musical Theatre, I am passionate about helping students of all levels discover their unique self as a singer and person. I have trained with many different vocal coaches and teachers making me a diverse voice educator. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel empowered to explore their vocal abilities and build their confidence. I believe in tailoring my approach to each student's individual learning style and goals, ensuring that they not only improve their singing abilities but also develop a lifelong love for the arts. Through interactive lessons, personalized feedback, and fun exercises, I strive to make learning enjoyable and engaging for my students. I incorporate a variety of teaching strategies to keep them motivated and inspired, whether they are beginners or more advanced singers. As a Singing tutor, I believe in a creative and interactive teaching style that caters to students of all levels. My methodology involves hands-on and practical learning experiences that are engaging for the students. I utilize something I call a "structural" approach to singing where I explain how to reach certain notes by talking about the placement of anatomy like the larynx and the pharynx. I also use imagery to create a specific sound or to help with breath support. All of this can help with all types of singing like musical theatre, choral, or pop. I additionally can provide real life experiences to aid in a student's instruction as I am still currently working and singing every day. Along with teaching in a variety of ways, I also believe in leading with love most of all. I care very deeply about my students and strive for a loving and safe environment. A singer cannot be learn and be their best if they feel they are not supported or judged. Learning to sing can be very vulnerable and having a smart and encouraging teacher is a recipe for success. I encourage my students to reach for the stars, fostering their creativity and confidence. Through this approach, my students have excelled in music exams and achieved their musical goals.
