The Student learned about sus chords and ninth chords on the guitar, exploring their theory and practical application. The session included working through examples of different chord voicings and fingerings, and applying these concepts to a piece of music. The tutor will send a backing track for the piece to practice with before the next session, and further exploration of extended chords and scales was planned.

The Student and Tutor reviewed major 7th arpeggios, focusing on their structure and relationship to major triads. They also discussed modes and their relationship to the major and minor scales, identifying key differences in intervals. The Student was assigned to practice applying one major 7th arpeggio to a chord progression and to practice the modes by vocalizing the intervals.

Aimee guided an individual from The Woodlands through a guitar lesson, focusing on scales, timing, and major/minor triads. The learner practiced scales with a metronome and acquired new triad shapes, emphasizing smooth transitions and consistent rhythm. Aimee suggested daily practice of scales and triads, even in short lessons, and encouraged continued improvisation to maintain the enjoyment of playing.
