About your tutor
Hello! I'm Reyhaneh Lotfi, a passionate music tutor specializing in piano. With a Master's degree in Music Education, my teaching philosophy focuses on making learning engaging and enjoyable for school-level students. I believe in creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated to explore music and develop their skills. I use interactive and personalized teaching strategies to cater to the individual learning styles and needs of each student. My goal is to not only teach music theory and technique but also to inspire a lifelong love for music. Through creativity, patience, and encouragement, I help students build confidence and achieve their musical goals. Join me on this musical journey, and let's make learning piano a fun and rewarding experience! Supported student learning from grade 1 to 6, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of specific exam requirements. Taught piano practice and theory to beginners, building confidence and competence to quickly advance learning. Working with ABRSM, Piano Safari, and PAFYB books. I served as a piano teacher in a primary school located in West London, beginning in the January term and continuing through the end of the 2023 school year, concluding in July. During my tenure at that primary school, I had the privilege of working with numerous KS1 and KS2 students, nurturing their enthusiasm for music, with a particular focus on piano. Just like my experience at the previous primary school, I embarked on a new journey at another primary school in West London, driven by my dedication to teaching children and enhancing their comprehension of music. As part of this endeavor, I organized a summer concert for the students, involving their parents.

Teaching methodology
As a piano tutor for school students, I strongly believe that an interactive and engaging teaching style is the key to fostering both enthusiasm and proficiency in my students. Over the years, I have learned that when students are actively involved in the learning process, they become more motivated and confident in their abilities. This leads to faster progress and a deeper understanding of music. Therefore, my teaching philosophy revolves around creating a dynamic and supportive environment where students feel comfortable to explore, experiment, and express themselves through music. To make the learning process both enjoyable and effective, I incorporate a variety of teaching techniques. Among these are demonstrative methods, which involve showing students how to play certain pieces or techniques and then guiding them through the process of replicating it on their own. This hands-on approach allows students to gain a clear understanding of the correct fingering, hand positioning, and overall technique required for playing the piano. When students see and hear how a piece should be played, they are better equipped to emulate those aspects in their own practice.
