Hello there! I'm Johnathan Purnell-Joe, a passionate English tutor specializing in ESL (English as a Second Language). With a diploma in ESL TESOL & TEFL, I bring a unique approach to language learning. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes. I obtained my associates degree in communications at the Warren County Community College in 2021 and I am currently working as a substitute teacher with ESS in Phillipsburg New Jersey. Substitute training certificate, substitute certification with New Jersey and my CPR certificate and ABA (Applied Behavioral Analyst) certificate. I also have my SORA license (unarmed guard) in the state of New Jersey as well.

As an ESL and English tutor, I am dedicated to helping school and college students excel in their studies. My teaching methodology is focused on being elaborative, creative, interactive, demonstrative, and engaging. I believe in selecting reading materials based on the student's preferred genres, ranging from fiction to technical writing, to make learning more interesting and relevant. By incorporating multimedia resources such as video analyses of literary texts, I aim to enhance students' writing and analysis skills which are essential for academic success and beyond. My goal is to support students in improving their writing and analysis skills, ultimately leading to success in high school and college admissions essays. I Graduated from Warren County Technical high school in the year 2012 and from the Warren County Community College in 2021 with a communications degree, they’re both located in Warren County, New Jersey. Commuting to the New York Film Academy in 2024 for an acting and voice acting degree and going there for bachelors after course. I'm hoping thing will go positive for both of us throughout this class and we'll both be able to accomplish something afterwards
