Supportive and creative Math tutor with a problem-solving approach for all levels

With a passion for education and 7 years of experience teaching NAPLAN Maths, I help students from school to college level achieve their academic goals. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of students, each with their own unique learning needs. My approach is centered around building confidence and making complex mathematical concepts easy to understand by connecting them to real-life examples. Through my experience, I’ve learned the importance of adapting my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles. Some of my proudest milestones include helping students improve their test scores and overcome challenges they once thought impossible. For me, teaching is about more than just exams—it’s about instilling a love of learning and equipping students with the skills to succeed both academically and in life.

My teaching methodology for NAPLAN Maths is centered on accountability, creativity, and clear communication. I believe in setting clear expectations and helping students take ownership of their learning, which encourages responsibility and motivates them to do their best. By combining creativity with problem-solving, I make challenging topics more engaging and accessible. I use a variety of teaching methods, such as visual aids, interactive exercises, and real-life examples, to help students connect mathematical concepts to everyday situations. Clear communication is key, so I ensure students fully understand each topic before moving forward, breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-follow steps. I also encourage active participation, so students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems together. Besides NAPLAN Maths, I also offer tutoring in related subjects, providing a holistic learning experience that helps students build strong foundational skills for both exams and future studies.
