Hi,
My name is Faraz, and I am a published ESL/EFL teacher from Sydney, Australia. I have 20 years of experience in my bag, and I have trained thousands of students from various countries, cultures, and backgrounds.
Re certificates and degrees, I have a CELTA - Pass B from Cambridge University, a Master's degree in English literature, and a Bachelor's degree in English literature. I have a full score GRE verbal, IELTS 8.5, iBT 118. I also have a valid WWCC.
I specialize in EAP, exam prep (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, CAE), and writing classes, but I am open to any class, whether general English or something else.
I also love creative writing, coding, multimedia design, and basically anything to do with art and technology. In fact, I also did a bachelor of computer science. Here's my website with some of my programming projects:
At the moment, I am doing online classes only as I am taking care of my wife, who is having some health issues.
Cheers,
Faraz

Teaching methodology
In education, we have different "learner types". There have been many listings, but generally we have:
- Visual
- Auditory
- Kinesthetic
- Verbal
- Logical
- Interpersonal
- Intrapersonal
In my classes, I do a couple of things:
a) First, identify the learner's type and modify my teaching accordingly.
b) Then, I will focus both on content and form, meaning the class needs to be both educational and fun.
c) Given that I am a programmer, I always use technology in my classes.
d) To continually improve what I do, one of my secrets is following the DevOps infinity approach: plan» code» build» test» release» deploy» operate» monitor» feedback» repeat. In this infinite cycle, the “monitoring” and “feedback” stages are key, and as a teacher who has taught thousands of students from all backgrounds and cultures, I am well aware of their importance.
