With a passion for linguistics and cross-cultural communication, I am pursuing a master's degree in International Master of Teaching English (IMTE) at Saint Mary's University, (Halifax, Canada) where I am learning the latest theories and practices of teaching English as a second or foreign language (ESL/EFL) in various contexts and settings. I have over eight years of experience as an English language instructor, working with diverse learners and using innovative methods and materials to enhance their language development and proficiency. I am also certified in IELTS by Cambridge University Press & Assessment and Shahid Beheshti University, and have prepared many students for this internationally recognized test. Previously, I worked as an expert of developed countries at Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, where I conducted research and analysis on the economic, political, and social aspects of different countries and regions, and provided insights and recommendations for trade and investment opportunities. I leveraged my strong skills in translation, text editing, and intercultural communication to produce high-quality reports and presentations in both English and Persian. My goal is to apply my knowledge and skills in ESL/EFL teaching and learning, as well as my domain expertise in developed countries, to contribute to the advancement of education and international relations. As an ESL teacher pursuing an International Master's degree, I have developed a profound understanding of various teaching methodologies. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that the most effective learning occurs when instruction is tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of each student. Consequently, I prioritize active listening to my students, which allows me to design and adapt my lessons to align with their individual learning objectives. One of the cornerstones of my teaching methodology is the use of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). This approach emphasizes interaction as both the means and the ultimate goal of learning a language. By incorporating real-life communication tasks and encouraging students to use the target language in meaningful contexts, I help them develop practical language skills that extend beyond the classroom. In addition to CLT, I extensively use Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) in my classroom.
