ESL & SAT Verbal tutoring with interactive methods

As you can see from my CV, I have a BA in English Language and Literature from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I also hold a certificate in teaching English to Speakers of other Languages from University of Cambridge and I have just completed my diploma in teaching English to speakers of other languages(a.k.a DELTA) from Cambridge University. I have also attended a 10 month course in Teachin English to Learners with Special Educational Needs. I am currently a postgraduate student and my Master's degree is in Teaching English as a Foreign/International Language. When it comes to my experience, I have been teaching for the last 8 years. My experience includes teaching both monolingual and multilingual classes. I have worked for private language institutes in Greece and I have also worked for summer camps in the UK and Austria. Moreover, I have been a tutor, delivering one-to-one lessons and I have also delivered exam preparation courses. I have also worked as a translator, a recruiter and supporter of the DOS. Due to the pandemic, I have been teaching online for the last 10 months. I can deliver motivating online lessons and I am highly capable of using platforms for teaching online, such as zoom.

As for my teaching skills, I am an enthusiastic teacher, who prefers designing learner-oriented lesson plans, that aim to practice students’ productive and receptive skills, while incorporating engaging and fun activities. I have designed my own coursebook, based on my experience which is mainly project-based. My goal is to make learners feel comfortable enough while being in the classroom and approach learning in a positive and motivating way. I usually employ CLIL methodology, which focuses on using language to learn and communicate as well.
