ESL & English with a motivational & interactive approach

Hello, Im Lucy. With 11+ years of tutoring experience, I hold a masters degree in Linguistics. Apart from assisting Grade 5 to Grade 9 students in ESL, I also help with subjects like Math, Science, and History. Outside of academia, I spend and enjoy my time gardening and reading. My tutoring journey began after college.

As an ESL tutor, I base my teaching method on the Communicative Approach, focusing on practical language usage. I create lessons that involve students in real-life situations, encouraging meaningful conversations, debates, and role-playing. Task-based learning is central to my approach, where students learn through hands-on tasks. Each lesson covers speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills for a complete learning experience. I also use real materials like news articles, videos, and podcasts to expose students to different language contexts.
