About your tutor
I started playing guitar 13 years ago. I was self taught, and I just learned how to play tabs and started my journey from there, literally just playing Metallica every day, all day. It worked for a while but I wasn't really aware of what the instrument was capable of, and in fact I have been only playing rhythm parts during my early days. Only 5 years ago I started studying music, when I got my Higher Diploma from ICMP in London. I learned some music theory and from there I started developing my technique, continuing my studies at the university. I got a Degree in Songwriting after the HNC, and during the course I started teaching guitar to my beginner colleagues. I kept teaching and now I developed an interesting teaching method based on shapes, more than remembering each single note.

Teaching methodology
My method is very simple but also very effective. I try to understand where the student needs more work, and I build everything up from there. I know what's like being a guitarist with no knowledge, and I know how much music theory can help. My classes for beginners include a basic introduction to the instrument, a list of things to know in order to understand the following classes better (es: the name of the notes, the different strings, the definition of words like "interval", and a guide how to read tabs), and I will teach some basic chords just to start developing the right wrist technique. Once we get all the chords right and clear, we will start with the theory, the interesting part of the classes. My method is very simple but also very effective.
