Teaching methodology

In my personalized 1:1 sessions, I prioritize maximizing productivity by focusing entirely on the individual student's needs. The curriculum covers a comprehensive array of topics including Openings, Tactics, Strategy, Middle games, Analysis, and Endgames, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of chess fundamentals. I begin each session with friendly introductions to establish a comfortable learning environment. We then delve into productive discussions on homework and review concepts from the previous class, ensuring continuous improvement. Transitioning smoothly to new topics, I engage the student through interactive discussions and hands-on teaching. Question sessions and dedicated homework reviews further reinforce learning outcomes. I conclude each session by sharing practical tips tailored to enhance their skills and strategic thinking in chess.

For group classes involving more than 4 to 5 children, I foster an interactive and lively atmosphere that encourages collaborative learning. While individual attention may vary in group settings, the dynamic environment stimulates engagement and interaction among participants. This collective approach not only enriches the learning experience but also promotes teamwork and camaraderie among young chess enthusiasts. Group sessions are structured to balance instruction with interactive activities, ensuring each child benefits from shared insights and experiences, ultimately fostering a deeper appreciation for the game of chess.
