Teaching methodology

I firmly believe in 'learn-play-analyze-fix' technique. You learn something in class, then you use it in a game, then analyze it, and in the end, you fix your mistakes.
Repeating this method will result in organic growth in a player.
I focus every part of the game in the following way

Basics: Start with the very basics. Explain the board, the pieces, their movements, and how the game is won. Ensure the learner grasps this before moving forward.

Tactical Patterns: Introduce common tactical patterns like forks, pins, skewers, and discovered attacks. Use examples and exercises to reinforce understanding.

Strategy: Teach about controlling the center, developing pieces, king safety, and pawn structure. Discuss concepts like weak squares, open files, and outposts.

Endgames: Introduce basic endgame principles and key concepts like opposition, pawn promotion, and piece coordination. Gradually progress to more complex endgame scenarios.

Openings: Discuss basic opening principles such as controlling the center, developing pieces efficiently, and maintaining flexibility. Introduce a few common opening lines but focus more on understanding the ideas behind the moves rather than memorizing specific variations.

Analysis: Teach how to analyze games, both one's own and others. Emphasize the importance of learning from mistakes and identifying patterns to improve.

Practice: Provide plenty of opportunities for the learner to practice what they've learned through playing games, solving puzzles, and reviewing annotated games.

Feedback: Offer constructive feedback on the learner's games and exercises. Point out strengths and areas for improvement, and encourage them to keep learning and experimenting.

Continued Learning: Encourage the learner to continue studying and practicing independently, perhaps by recommending books, online resources, or chess software.

Enjoyment: Above all, emphasize the enjoyment of the game. Help the learner appreciate the beauty of chess and the satisfaction of improving their skills, regardless of their level of play
