About your tutor
Chess is an incredible tool that helps kids develop critical thinking and strategic planning skills. With over 10 years of experience and participation in more than 150 tournaments, both rated and unrated, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my coaching sessions. I specialize in opening, middlegame, and endgame preparations, catering to both beginner and intermediate players. My journey in the world of chess has been marked by numerous achievements, including coaching at HOBSPACE and serving as a senior chess trainer at Piggy Ride. I have also represented Haryana in the All India Rapid & Blitz Chess Championship and led my team to secure the 4th rank in the East Zone Inter University Chess Championship. My competitive spirit and deep understanding of chess theory and tactics enable me to foster a positive and engaging learning environment for my students.
Teaching methodology
In my sessions, I ensure that students gain practical knowledge of the game by providing tailored homework assignments that focus on skill improvement and tactical training. I also conduct strategy sessions aimed at enhancing quick thinking abilities, helping students to think several moves ahead and anticipate their opponent's strategies. My teaching methodology involves a step-by-step approach, starting with the basics and gradually moving to more advanced concepts. Each session is designed to be interactive and engaging, with a mix of theoretical lessons and practical exercises. To ensure that my students are applying their skills effectively, I organize online tournament sessions where they can put their learning into practice in a competitive setting. I believe in continuous assessment and feedback, helping students to identify their strengths and areas for improvement.
