Engaging Piano lessons with motivational, hands-on approach

Xiao Yang, a native of China, classical pianist, collaborative pianist and vocal coach. Currently l am teaching group piano and individual lessons at a community college, also I am a church musician. I hold two masters ‘degree, one in Vocal coaching and accompanying (M.M) in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, one in piano performance and literature from University of Arkansas (2019-2021) I holds a Graduate certificate in piano performance from university of central Arkansas (2018-2019) I had my Bachelor’s degree in Piano performance from East China Normal University (2014-2018). My teaching philosophy is to encourage students to develop innate music self through passion, persistence and educational guidance. I will introduce my students music historical and stylistic traditions along with cultivating their own music interpretation and artistry. I will provide my students practice strategies and solutions that allow for learning repertoire musically and accurately, and with physical ease and endurance. I am willing to help my students overcome their weaknesses and encouraging them to uncover their unique strengths in piano learning.
