Saloni - About your AP tutor
I have completed my Bachelors and Master's in Physics from the University of Delhi. I started teaching at the age of 18 and have been teaching for 10 years now. I have taught Indian, Canadian and US students from grad 9-12 . I also worked as an assistant professor in an Institute and taught undergrad students as well. Currently, I live in Nova Scotia and tutor college students, IB. AP and GCSE (Physics and Math) Students online.

Teaching methodology
I offer help for students who are in high school or pursuing a university degree. I am really good at teaching Math and Physics. I am a very friendly and patient teacher, so asking questions is always encouraged. I always assess my students first and decide at what level I have to teach them. I give regular homework and assessments to students so that they can improve their grades. Additionally, I make presentations for my students and give them real life examples to teach concepts and make the session more engaging so that they don't feel bored and understand concepts better.

AP concept taught by Saloni
Saloni and Sayf reviewed significant figures and unit conversions in preparation for AP Physics C. Sayf practiced identifying significant digits, performing calculations with correct significant figures, and converting between metric units using a provided constants sheet. They worked through a density problem, and Saloni assigned further practice on unit conversions for the next session, with a potential focus on vectors later in the week.

Saloni guided a student through a 2D projectile motion problem, specifically one involving a helicopter dropping supplies. The student, who attends Sacramento City College, focused on separating motion into horizontal and vertical components to solve for distance, initial velocity, and final speed. Saloni then assigned additional practice problems from the textbook on 2D projectile motion.

Saloni provided AP Physics C instruction to Sayf, commencing with a thorough review of AP Physics 1 principles and an introduction to calculus-based problem-solving techniques. Their work together focused on kinematics and the work-energy theorem, with a strong emphasis on developing a robust conceptual understanding and proficient application of relevant formulas. Saloni assigned Sayf additional review exercises and arranged for their next physics lesson to take place the following day.

Saloni is tutoring Zayne and Anc1ent in physics. She helps Zayne prepare for his exam by focusing on mechanics and waves, using a concept board for problem-solving. She assists Anc1ent with various physics topics, including mechanics, thermal physics, and angular momentum, emphasizing conceptual understanding and practice. They work through specific problems, with Saloni guiding Anc1ent through calculations and problem-solving strategies.

Saloni is helping Sayf review for his physics test by going over a practice problem related to density and buoyancy. They work through a problem involving a rock submerged in water, using the concept board to visualize forces. They plan to continue working through practice problems.
