Hello there, thank you for stopping by! I am Francisca, an EFL teacher and native Spanish speaker with training and solid background in education. I love language teaching, I am flexible and patient, and take my learner’s unique characteristics and needs into account to design my lessons. I strive to provide diversified learning materials thoughtfully tailored to the needs, learning styles and goals of each student, ensuring lessons are effective, relevant and enjoyable. My passion for student’s well-being has made me design friendly lesson plans that also incorporate the development of study and organization strategies; test preparation planning; and student’s self-care. The diversity of my background -including public and private schools; face-to-face and online instruction; and students spanning from preschool to adult age- show my commitment to adapt to others. Helping learners is my passion and, through my endeavors, I have not only boosted participation in school settings but also played a key role in learners achieving their personal objectives. My firm belief is that we all learn better through play and getting involved with the things we love. Therefore, I will take my time to get to know you better and try to make all my tutoring lessons fun and engaging. My desire is to help you accomplish your goals, feel comfortable with the language, and enjoy the learning process. Depending on your requirements, we can focus on vocabulary; grammar and syntax; conversation skills and pragmatics; test preparation; or organization and goal-setting. I will adapt and we will make learning a pleasurable activity, reducing stress to the minimum.

My lessons are tailored to the needs of my students. My objective is to make you feel comfortable and confident. I usually prefer dynamic and interactive lessons where we use the language for meaningful communication. In my classes there is space for theory and controlled practice as well as the development of fluency. Moreover, I use authentic and semi-authentic materials to expose my students with real-life expressions. I explain contents in detail, and provide strategies for listening, reading, writing and speaking.
