With over 15 years of teaching experience, I’m Melissa Hannington, a professional singer and vocal coach passionate about helping people discover, develop and get the very best out of their voices. Trained at the prestigious ItaliaConti Academy, I bring together professional performance experience and extensive teaching knowledge. Throughout my career, I've supported artists including Roachford, performed with Lianne La Havas, worked as a resident singer at Ronnie Scott’s in London and appeared at festivals including Victorious. I currently work as a vocal coach at two private schools, alongside teaching students remotely from my home studio. Over the years, I've helped countless singers overcome performance anxiety, vocal strain, confidence issues and technical difficulties that may have been holding them back. Whether it's learning to sing without pushing or straining, developing greater vocal power and control, improving range, finding confidence on stage or preparing for an important performance, I focus on finding practical techniques that genuinely work. My teaching is never one-size-fits-all. Every voice is different, so I tailor my approach to the individual, using tried-and-tested vocal methods to build healthy technique, strengthen musicianship and bring out each singer's natural qualities. I also offer guidance in pop and rock singing, piano, ear training, music theory, improvisation, harmonies and Trinity and LCM examinations.
