Colindra-Rodericka - Get to know your vocal coach
I am a passionate singer, music educator, and vocal coach with 15 years of singing experience and a strong background in music and education. I completed Grade 8 Voice with Distinction through Trinity College London and hold an Associate Degree in Primary Education, which has equipped me with a solid foundation in teaching, learning development, and student engagement. I have five years of teaching experience and two years of dedicated voice coaching experience, working with students of different ages, abilities, personalities, and learning styles. My approach to teaching is student-centred, recognizing that every individual learns and develops at a different pace. I strive to create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring their voices, making mistakes, and growing in confidence. My musical expertise includes ear training, harmony, vocal improvisation, breath control, vocal technique, interpretation, and performance skills. I enjoy helping students develop a deeper understanding of music while strengthening their technical abilities and artistic expression. I also emphasize the importance of confidence, discipline, creativity, and consistency in musical development. Above all, I am passionate about sharing my love for music and helping others discover and reach their potential. My goal is not only to develop capable and well-rounded singers but also to nurture individuals who feel confident expressing themselves and developing a lifelong appreciation for music.
