Patient, Inclusive Teaching That Builds Student Confidence For the Betterment of our Kids

I would describe my teaching style as patient, supportive, adaptable, and inclusive. I believe every student has the ability to learn and succeed, but I also understand that everyone learns differently. My approach is shaped by my personal experiences with ADHD and being part of a minority. Growing up with ADHD, I sometimes struggled with distractions, staying focused, and finding effective ways to process and retain information. Over time, I learned to manage these challenges by developing strategies such as breaking tasks into smaller steps, staying organized, managing distractions, and finding different ways to understand and remember information. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, resilience, and recognizing that struggling with something does not mean a person is incapable of succeeding. My experiences have also helped me understand the importance of inclusion and making people feel seen, respected, and supported. I recognize that students come from different backgrounds and face different challenges, and I believe these differences should be understood rather than judged. I want to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable askingfor help. As a teacher, I would adapt my approach to meet individual learning needs by explaining concepts in different ways, using practical examples, encouraging participation, and checking for understanding. I believe in helping students identify strategies that work best for them while encouraging independence, accountability, and confidence. Ultimately, my goal is not only to help students understand what they are learning but also to help them recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and believe in their own abilities.
