From First Idea to Final Mix: Songwriting, Production & Arranging | Berklee Graduate

I hold a degree in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music and a degree in Guitar Performance from Musicians Institute. In my lessons, we can cover the entire process of creating a song from start to finish, including composition, arranging, production, and mixing. Depending on your goals, the process can also include music theory, ear training, and style studies, so you understand not only how to make music but also why it works. We can also do sound-alike projects, which means recreating an existing song as closely as possible to learn how professional records are written, arranged, and produced. We can work in the DAW of your choice, such as Ableton Live, Pro Tools, GarageBand, or Logic Pro. I have a very hands-on, practical way of teaching music theory, production, and composition, so you can apply what you learn right away, even on the go. As a multi-instrumentalist, I can teach guitar, bass, drums, and synths at the same time, and I can guide you through the process of orchestration, so you learn to write parts for every instrument in your arrangement and make them work together. I can teach any style, but my main strengths are songwriting, electronic music, and Latin music. Lessons are available in English or Spanish. We can work on your own songs, or I can tailor the lessons to your interests and goals. Whether you’re writing your first song or polishing a project, I’ll help you bring your ideas to life.
