Experienced Maths Tutor | Simplifying Concepts, Building Confidence & Problem-Solving Skills for Grades 2–8

I am a Mathematics educator with over 4 years of teaching experience, including primary school teaching and more than 3 years of online Mathematics teaching at Bhanzu. I hold a B.E. in Civil Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Anna University. My engineering background has strengthened my logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, which I bring into my Maths lessons. My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand the concepts behind Mathematics rather than simply memorising formulas or procedures. I believe every student can improve in Maths with the right guidance, patience, encouragement, and consistent practice. I explain concepts in a simple, structured, and engaging manner, using step-by-step solutions, visual examples, real-life applications, and guided questions to make even challenging topics easier to understand. I aim to build strong mathematical foundations, improve accuracy and logical thinking, and develop independent problem-solving skills. I adapt my teaching pace and explanations to each student's learning level, ensuring that they have enough time to understand and practise before moving on to more advanced concepts. I can support students from primary to secondary school, particularly Grades 2–10, with foundational Mathematics, schoolwork, concept clarification, practice problems, and higher-order thinking questions. My goal is to create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, learning from mistakes, and tackling unfamiliar problems. For me, successful teaching is not just about getting the correct answer; it is about helping students develop the skills and confidence to solve problems independently.
