I’m a music producer, mix engineer, sound designer and educator with over 25 years of experience making, developing and performing music. I have a First Class Honours degree in Music Production and Artist Development, and my experience spans music production, mixing, sound design, DJing, artist development and music technology. I specialise in electronic music and have extensive experience with Logic Pro, alongside modern digital and analogue/hybrid production techniques. I’m passionate about helping people understand not just how to use their software, but how to think like a producer and make creative decisions with confidence. My teaching style is practical, relaxed and student-focused. I believe the best way to learn is by working on real music, so lessons can be built around your own projects, ideas and goals. I break complicated concepts down into clear, manageable steps and explain the reasoning behind each technique, rather than simply telling you which buttons to press. I can help with songwriting and arrangement, beat-making, sound design and synthesis, recording, editing, mixing, mastering, production techniques, workflow, critical listening and developing your own sound and artistic identity. I can also help you understand why a track may not be working, troubleshoot technical or creative problems, and turn unfinished ideas into complete productions. Whether you’re starting from scratch, have been producing for a while, or want to take your existing skills to a more professional level, I’ll tailor lessons to where you are now and where you want to go.
