Learn how to creatively express yourself through a wide range of musical outlets from a PhD musician and neuroscientist.

Welcome! I am Sean Kiley, a musician, educator, audio engineer, and neuroscientist. I hold a PhD in Music Composition and Psychology from the University of Victoria, where I spent several years serving as a Music Technology Lecturer and researching the relationship between music and altered states of consciousness. In my private studio, I help students of all ages build confidence in their own creative ideas and teach the tools that bring their artistry to life. My research into music psychology gives me unique insight into how we learn, process, and connect with sound, which allows me to tailor lessons perfectly to your cognitive learning style. I offer highly structured, interactive online lessons for students worldwide. My curriculum covers a wide range of genres for guitar, piano, percussion, composition, songwriting, sound healing, music theory, audio production and sound design, as well as specialized software mentorship in Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Max MSP, and Sibelius. Together, we will demystify the technical hurdles of music making and build the foundational skills you need to create art confidently. Whether you're just getting started, want to develop your musicianship, or are looking to take your music and production skills further, book your lesson today and let's make some music.
