I am a friendly and enthusiastic young musician and have been playing the violin for 14 years, achieving a Distiction in my Grade 8 at age 15. I have and continue to play in a wide range of ensembles including orchestras, jazz bands, contemporary ensembles and small chamber ensembles and I enjoy challenging myself to explore different kinds of music and develop my technique and artistry. I have a passion for sharing my skills and love for music with young people and want to encourage them to be artists while maintaining good techique and a high standard of playing to achieve the most enjoyment as well as the skills to play in a range of situations and ensembles at a high level. My sessions will focus on the student's aims while developing strong foundational technique that sets players up for continued development and success. Having taken multiple graded exams and played in a variety of styles, I am able to support my students in preparing for exams and learning music that interests and excites them. I have experience interacting with a wide range of ages and am confident working with both young children and older students.
