I’m Ben Edge, an experienced electronic music producer working primarily in Ableton Live. My teaching style is practical, relaxed and tailored to the individual. I don’t believe in teaching everyone the same formula – my aim is to understand where you are, what music you want to create and what’s currently holding you back. Whether you’re opening Ableton for the first time or you’ve been producing for years and feel stuck, we can work directly on the areas that will make the biggest difference to your music. This can include workflow, arrangement, sound design, synthesis, drums, bass, EQ, compression, effects, mixing and finishing tracks. Where possible, I like to teach through real projects rather than theory alone. Bring your own music, unfinished ideas or reference tracks and we’ll work through them together. My goal isn’t to make your music sound like mine. It’s to give you the knowledge, ears and confidence to develop your own sound and make better production decisions independently. Above all, I want sessions to be enjoyable, creative and useful. There are no stupid questions and no pressure – just a space to experiment, learn, solve problems and make music you’re genuinely excited about.
