Your english tutor - Tem Bleck-Carrington

My teaching style is based on a simple belief: learning English should be practical, engaging, confidence-building, and relevant to each learner’s real life. I do not see English tutoring as simply teaching grammar rules, correcting mistakes, or asking students to memorize vocabulary. I see language teaching as helping learners develop the knowledge, confidence, and communication skills they need to express themselves successfully in real situations. As an online English tutor, I create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again. I believe mistakes are a natural part of language development. Many learners understand English but struggle to speak because they are afraid of making errors. My role is therefore not only to teach English, but also to help students overcome that fear and become confident communicators. Learner-Centered Teaching I place the learner at the center of every lesson. Every student has different goals, interests, personality, learning speed, strengths, weaknesses, and reasons for studying English. For this reason, I do not believe in using exactly the same teaching method for everyone. I first consider the student’s goals and adapt lessons accordingly. Interview preparation, examination practice, workplace English, travel, and conversation. If a student needs conversational English, I create opportunities for discussion and spontaneous speaking. If grammar is a challenge, I provide clear explanations and targeted practice. Communication Comes First I believe language exists primarily for communication. Grammar and vocabulary are important, but they become truly useful when learning a language.
