Online guitar lessons built around the songs/styles you love, with progress you can hear each week

I’m a guitarist, music producer and guitar teacher with a BA in Music Production from the University of Salford. Since 2022, I’ve taught students of different ages and abilities through private lessons, primary school sessions and creative music workshops. My teaching style is friendly, patient and practical. I want students to build good technique while playing music they’re excited about. I note down the artists and songs each student likes, then download the tracks and slow them down so they can play along at a comfortable pace. As they improve, we gradually bring the songs up to full speed. I also record my students playing in Logic Pro each week. This gives us a record of their progress that we can listen back to together, and helps me see what to focus on in the next lesson. For online lessons, I break songs into manageable sections, demonstrate each part clearly and give students something specific to practise between sessions. Whether someone is learning their first riff, developing their technique or writing their own music, I tailor lessons to their goals. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn. Listening back to their weekly recordings helps us celebrate each improvement and shows them how far they’ve come.
