Experienced math teacher helping students drop the frustration and actually start enjoying the subject

Hi, I'm Ritu Rani. I'm a math educator with over eight years of experience teaching students across Cambridge, IGCSE, ICSE, and CBSE curricula. With an M.Sc. in Mathematics, a B.Sc. in Computer Science, and a B.Ed., I’ve worn a few different hats over the years—from classroom teacher and Head of Department to Olympiad In-Charge—which has really helped me understand how students learn best. Over time, I've learned a simple truth: every learner is completely unique. That’s why my online tutoring isn't a one-size-fits-all experience. Whether a student is trying to build up shaky foundations, keep up with schoolwork, prep for board exams, or tackle tricky Olympiad-style problems, I tailor every lesson to their pace, goals, and learning style. My whole teaching approach is built on understanding why something works rather than just memorizing formulas. If a student hits a wall and doesn't get an explanation, I don't just repeat it louder—I switch gears and try a fresh diagram, a real-life example, or a completely different angle until it clicks. I love using everyday connections (like geometry in architecture or ratios in cooking) to make math feel real and less intimidating. More than anything, I love working with students who have lost their confidence or feel like math just "isn't for them." Mistakes aren't failures in my virtual classroom; they're just clues that help us figure out the puzzle together. My ultimate goal isn't to make students dependent on me for every answer, but to help them build the curiosity, logical thinking, and independence to say, "I can work this out."
