Hey! I'm James Zinn-Steinbeck, although most people call me Raven. I've been tutoring for about five years now, four years in math and one in STEM/engineering, and tutoring guitar specifically for coming up on a year in march. I've been playing myself for about five years, and I have about four years of piano experience prior to picking up guitar. I generally cater to beginners, although I can teach at an intermediate level as well. I cover electric, acoustic, and bass guitar techniques, and I can cover pretty much anything you want or need to know. I can play most common bass styles, and while I'll admit my fingerstyle guitar skills are lacking, I can confidently play and teach with a pick. I specialize mostly in rock/metal subgenres, and my favorite artists to play right now are System of a Down, Deftones, and Breaking Benjamin. I'm also currently playing small shows with some friends around my home town. Teaching and tutoring, along with music, are some of my greatest passions in life, so I'm very grateful to be doing this!
