Hello! My name is Andrew Alford, and I'm a Bachelors-educated composer, musician, and singer originally from the East Coast who moved to Los Angeles about two years ago. I got my degree at Purchase College, State University of New York in Studio Composition, which is a mixture of classical composition and music technology. I am a film/game composer professionally, but I have been singing in choir since a very young age. I've been lucky enough throughout my career to get many opportunities to sing in church choirs, a cappella groups, and gospel choirs. I am here to offer beginner/intermediate vocal lessons in a wide range of genres, such as rock, pop, and classical. I also teach skills such as ear training, improvisation, harmony, and composition, as I think these skills are interconnected, and strengthening one will strengthen the other skills. Whether you're a kid or an adult, or looking to learn a brand new skill or just brush up on some technique, I format my lessons to suit your needs and interests.
