Hi, my name is Dr. Fei Xia. I am a profesisional singer, music teacher, and educator. I have been teaching singing, piano, and music theory for over 7 years. On this platform, you can also fine me as a singing tutor. But besides teaching singing, I also teach piano. I have been teaching piano for over 10 years. I started to learn piano at 9 years old. I have taught students of different ages and levels, ranging from kids to adults, from beginning to intermediate levels. I hold my BA degree in musicology, with piano minor. I started to teach online piano lessons since 2020. With over 5 years of online piano teaching experience with students, I have helped students with their piano techniques studies, music theory learning, and ABRSM and NYSSMA exams. When teaching piano playing, I combine piano learning and music theory study. I teach classical and pop piano. (Especially Chinese pop repertoire). Chord practice, ear training, and improvisation will be applied and added to students’ learning, if needed.
