Chartered Accountant and CFA L1 cleared Teaching CFA L1 FSA | Ex-Goldman Sachs, Deloitte FDD

I'm a Chartered Accountant and CFA Level 1 candidate-turned-instructor, with prior experience at Goldman Sachs and Deloitte's Financial Due Diligence practice. I specialize in teaching CFA Level 1 Financial Statement Analysis (FSA) — the section most candidates either love or dread. My teaching philosophy centers on intuition over memorization. Instead of asking students to memorize formulas, I break down why each adjustment exists — for example, why interest is added back in FCFF, or why a gain on asset sale gets subtracted rather than added like other non-cash charges. Once students understand the underlying accounting logic, retention improves dramatically and they stop making sign errors under exam pressure. I currently run small live batches (capped at 5 students) over Google Meet, allowing real back-and-forth discussion rather than one-way lecturing. I also create free educational content on YouTube explaining FSA concepts the way I wish someone had explained them to me during my own prep.
