I’m Brittany Bankston, and I have been a high school Biology teacher for nine years now. I have a bachelors degree in Biology with a concentration in education. I have taught various levels of students with various individual needs. The curriculum my school district uses has us focusing on ecology, evolution, and genetics. So those areas are where my expertise lies. I believe in real world applications to make concepts stick. I can help with Biology experiments, lab skills, career guidance, homework assignments, and overall concepts. I can tailor each session to each high school student’s needs. My state requires the LEAP standardized test for Biology, so I can also help with test prep. My students’ scores are statistically very high, so I believe I can help grow other students’ test scores, as well. I’m happy to make materials for each student. I can create worksheets, notes, reviews, and home learning activities. I firmly believe that each student learns differently, so I’m here to make sure that each student can have access to a teaching style that works best for them.
