Passionate Music Educator & Pianist Helping Students Build Confidence and Love Music

I am a music education student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, pursuing a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Vocal/Piano and a primary focus on piano. I have experience teaching piano, drums, and vocal lessons to students with different ages, skill levels, personalities, and musical interests. My goal as a teacher is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students can develop their skills while also enjoying the process of making music. My teaching style is patient, structured, and student-centered. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach based on their individual goals and learning style. I work with students on fundamentals such as technique, rhythm, sight-reading, music theory, ear training, repertoire, and musical expression, while also incorporating music that interests them. I believe students are more motivated when they can connect their lessons to music they genuinely enjoy. As a pianist and music education student, I have studied a wide range of repertoire and developed a strong understanding of both performance and pedagogy. I encourage students to make mistakes, ask questions, and learn from challenges rather than becoming discouraged by them. I also emphasize effective practice habits and independence so students can eventually approach music on their own with confidence. Most importantly, I want my students to build a lifelong relationship with music. Whether a student wants to learn for fun, prepare for performances, develop stronger musicianship, or simply learn their favorite songs, I want to help them reach their goals while making every lesson meaningful, productive, and enjoyable.
