Juan Miguel - Your piano teacher

Since I was five years old, I have been immersed in the world of piano, a passion that is part of my family heritage. My grandfather, my father, and my uncle were classical pianists, and I grew up surrounded by music. I currently teach while continuing my training under the guidance of Javier Herreros, a highly respected teacher in Spain. I am also a composer, which allows me to offer my students a comprehensive experience, where we connect technique with creativity. In addition, I have experience teaching in music schools, one of them being the rock and roll school Gabba Hey in my city. This has given me the opportunity to work with people of all ages and levels, from 8 to 83 years old. I currently have my own private students, and although I am comfortable with them, teaching at home and maintaining a very close teacher-student relationship, I feel that it is time to expand my possibilities and not depend on a physical location to dedicate myself to what I love. My current students have very different personalities, and I tailor my lessons to each individual. For me, the most important thing is being able to connect with each person and understand the way they learn. From there, I use the different resources and approaches I have at my disposal. Having worked in schools with different levels and styles, I have developed a very broad teaching repertoire. After these years of teaching, I have learned that the most important thing is to combine a serious and direct way of communicating what I want the student to achieve with a great deal of care and empathy when guiding their ideas, which can often be very abstract, according to each student’s individual personality and way of learning.
