Arpitha - Know your tutor
Hi! I'm Arpitha, and if there's one thing I truly enjoy, it's making learning feel less intimidating and a lot more exciting. I have over 8 years of teaching experience, beginning as an online Mathematics tutor, where I taught high school students Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and Calculus. Today, I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and IT, teaching subjects such as Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Computer Networks, Operating Systems, Competitive Programming, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Digital Image Processing, UI Design using Figma, and more. Along the way, I also spent a year as a Software Engineer at MAQ Software, which gave me valuable industry experience that I love bringing into my classroom. My teaching philosophy is simple: I never like jumping straight into theory. Instead, I start with the question, "Why are we learning this?" I believe that when students understand the purpose behind a concept and see how it connects to real life, learning becomes meaningful and memorable. Whether I'm explaining recursion, network protocols, or a tricky calculus problem, I enjoy using relatable examples, stories, and everyday analogies before introducing the technical details. My goal is to help students build confidence, think critically, and genuinely enjoy the learning process rather than just memorize concepts for an exam. I love creating an interactive classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring ideas. For me, the best part of teaching is witnessing that wonderful "Aha! I finally get it!" moment. If you're looking for a tutor who is patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about making complex topics simple and fun, I'd love to be part of your learning journey!
