Hello! My name is Mia and I'm a singer-songwriter living in the Gatineau/Ottawa area! I started my musical journey in High School in a prestigious Jazz choir and moved on to study music theater in Windsor. I specialize currently in writing, performing and recording Experimental Pop, Doom Metal, Alternative and Grudge. I have had many vocal teachers throughout my career and have found that traditional approaches can limit progress, trial and error while maintaining healthy vocal chords is key. I often say singing is very subconscious, the trick is confidence, believing in yourself, and willingness to sound silly sometimes in order to experiment My lessons will focus on vocal technique and safety, so you can go off and explore your voice and all it's fun facets without risk of vocal injury. I can teach all ages and genres, whatever you want to learn! I can also help in teaching harmony, ear training, auditioning, stamina, recording and releasing basics as well as event planning and promotion.
