AP History Tutor | ICSE Teacher | UGC-NET Qualified | Interactive Lessons for Academic Success

I am Devi Poonguzhali, a Ph.D. Research Scholar in History at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (Bharathiar University), UGC-NET qualified for Assistant Professor in History, and a passionate educator committed to making learning engaging, meaningful, and intellectually enriching. My journey as a teacher has been shaped by a strong academic foundation, extensive research experience, and nearly three years of classroom teaching. Throughout my career, I have believed that education is not merely about helping students score well in examinations but about nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning. My teaching experience spans both school and higher education. For the past three years, I have taught History for ICSE Classes IX and X at Shaanthi Schools, Coimbatore, where I also served as a Resource Auditor, contributing to curriculum planning, lesson evaluation, and multidisciplinary educational initiatives. This role gave me valuable experience in designing structured lessons, adapting teaching methods to suit different learners, and ensuring that students developed a clear conceptual understanding of the subject rather than relying on rote memorization. Alongside my school teaching experience, I currently teach UGC-NET History classes for postgraduate students at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women as part of my role as a research scholar. Teaching aspiring academicians has strengthened my ability to explain complex historical concepts, historiography, research methodology, and analytical approaches in a simple and engaging manner. It has also reinforced my belief that an effective teacher must continuously learn, research, and evolve alongside their students.
