Singer-Songwriter with 15 years of experience teaches proper vocal technique, effective vocal exercises, and more!

Hi, I'm Afsaneh! I recently graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in Vocal Performance and Composition. I am very passionate about music and singing and want to share that passion with others. I have been performing since 2012 at venues and events such as Hot August Nights and TEDx, as well as at local bars and open mic nights. I have also written, produced, and recorded several songs and covers in my home studio that have received thousands of streams/views. The most important thing for me as a teacher is ensuring that my students learn and understand how to take care of their voice and sing in a healthy manner. My typical lesson plan starts with assessing the student's voice and getting to know what you want to accomplish with singing. I can help students improve pitch accuracy through specific vocal exercises and become familiar with the basics of the voice. I have experience teaching students of all ages. I work with students on songs they have chosen or that I have picked for them based on their voice type and goals. We then dive into improving technique and tone quality through exercises and diagrams. Whether you are a complete beginner or have been singing for years, I can help you achieve your singing goals!
