Computer Science Tutor for US Grade 1 - 10 Students | Learn Coding, Logic, and Technology Through Engaging Online Lessons

I have experience teaching computer science to online students at different age levels, including Grade 4 and Grade 6 students following US-based curricula. My teaching approach focuses on making computer science simple, engaging, and easy to understand by connecting concepts to real-world examples and the interests of each student. When teaching younger students, I understand the importance of patience, clear communication, and adapting the lesson to their individual learning pace. I avoid relying only on technical definitions and instead explain concepts through practical examples, visual explanations, interactive activities, and guided problem-solving. My goal is to ensure that students understand the “why” behind a concept rather than simply memorizing information. For Grade 4 students, I focus on building a strong foundation in areas such as computer fundamentals, logical thinking, problem-solving, basic programming concepts, algorithms, sequencing, and computational thinking. I use age-appropriate explanations and encourage students to ask questions and explore ideas independently. For Grade 6 students, I can introduce more advanced concepts depending on their curriculum and level of understanding, including programming logic, variables, conditionals, loops, functions, algorithms, data representation, and introductory computer science principles. I believe in gradually increasing the difficulty of lessons while ensuring that students remain confident and engaged.
