My name is Coco, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. I have studied classical piano through private instruction for thirteen years and have many experience in performance, musicianship, teaching and collaboration. Throughout my musical journey, I completed the Canadian Royal Conservatory of Music ARCT level in piano, Harmony & Counterpoint, Analysis, and History. I have taught private piano lessons to students between the ages of 6 and 15. Through teaching, I planned weekly lessons and reflected on different pedagogical approaches. It gave me valuable insight into how children learn music and reinforced the importance of adapting my teaching to each student's needs and abilities. One of the reasons I enjoy teaching so much is that it is never one-sided. While I hope to help students develop their musical skills and confidence, I find that I learn just as much from them.
