Beginner Piano Lessons Tailored to Every Student's Learning Style While Building Skills and Confidence

Hi, my name is Candy Lin, and I'm a Commerce student at McMaster University. I've been playing piano for many years and have completed Level 8 RCM Piano Practical and Level 8 Music Theory. Through my own experience learning piano, I've realized that every student learns differently, and that as hoped th way I teach. I have experience teaching beginner piano to young students, and I enjoy helping them build a strong foundation while making lessons enjoyable instead of stressful. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable. I know that learning an instrument can be challenging, especially for beginners, so I try to explain concept in simple ways and break difficult pieces into smaller, manageable sections. I focus on helping students understand one step at a time and encourage student to ask questions because I want them to feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I believe building a positive relationship with students is just as important as teaching them the right notes. when students feel supported and comfortable, they're more willing to try new things and become confident in their abilities. I like to make lessons interactive by using demonstrations and emphasize good practice habit outside of lessons. Beyond teaching piano, I hope to help students develop valuable life skills. learning piano required lots of patient and consistent effort, and I enjoy helping students discover that challenge can be overcome through practice and determination.
