Julian - Know your guitar teacher

Hi! I'm Julian, a guitar instructor and music student passionate about helping others develop their musical skills and confidence. I have over 10 years of experience playing guitar, including classical, acoustic, and electric styles. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Arts in Music at Trinity Western University after earning a Music Technology diploma from Douglas College. Along the way, I've studied music theory, ear training, composition, recording, and performance. I currently teach guitar at a music school and have experience working with students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time, preparing for an exam, or looking to improve your technique, I tailor every lesson to your individual goals and learning style. My lessons focus on building a strong musical foundation while keeping learning enjoyable and engaging. Together we can work on technique, chords, scales, improvisation, music theory, ear training, songwriting, and your favorite songs. I also enjoy helping students learn recording and music production using industry-standard software. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress. I believe that with the right guidance and consistent practice, anyone can become a confident musician. I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals!
