Personalized guitar and bass lessons: Find and nurture the voice within and gain the skills to use it!

My name is Violet, I am a professional guitarist and bassist with over fifteen years of combined experience on both instruments and a wide net of specialized genres including Jazz, R&B, Soul, Gospel, Rock, Folk, Blues, and more. I am also a classically trained composer and conductor with a deep and rich understanding of music theory and an eager desire to teach. I understand that music education can seem daunting and impenetrable to some, and I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn music on a deeper level. The issue begins with music pedagogy as a concept and its inflexibility with different learning styles. My aim is to help bridge this gap between subject and student with a gentle and patient hand to help each and every student reach the heights that they are capable of and then to help them find the confidence to exceed their expectations. As a transgender woman in this industry I understand how important it can be to have a role model in this field, be it women, LGBTQIA+ folks, People of Colour, etc… My lessons will always be an inclusive space and a safe environment to explore the intersections between identity and art.
