I am a self taught player with over 4 years of experience. I was in a jazz band for 3 years where i learnt how to read chord shapes and sheet music. I am currently in a metal band, and i produce and write my own music. I can teach you how to become any kind of guitar player you want to be wether it be a blues legend or a metal god. Ive spent most of my time learning technique and theory. I can teach you how to write better riffs, better chord progressions for your songs and even producing songs if your interested in that aswell. My lessons are tailored to your individual goals and experience level. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or you’ve been playing for years and feel stuck, I’ll help you make real progress with a structured but enjoyable approach. We’ll focus on the styles and songs you love while building the techniques and knowledge needed to become a confident musician. I believe learning guitar should be exciting, rewarding, and practical, so every lesson is designed to give you skills you can immediately apply to your own playing and songwriting. My goal is to help you become the guitarist you’ve always wanted to be while making the learning process fun, motivating, and easy to understand.

Student and Tutor covered chord variations, including major and minor shapes on E and A strings, and the Major 7 chord. They then explored how to identify all major and minor chords within any musical key using a specific fretboard pattern, applying this to keys like B major and A major. The Tutor will provide a diagram of the key pattern for further practice.

The Student and Tutor focused on foundational guitar techniques and music theory. They practiced using a metronome for finger independence, learned the pentatonic scale and its application for soloing, and explored various picking styles. A significant portion of the session was dedicated to learning bar chords, including how to form both major and minor shapes and understand their relationship to the fretboard's root notes. The Tutor also provided strategies for making practice more engaging by combining scales with chords for improvisation and recommended practicing with backing tracks for homework.
