I am a dynamic and energetic online tutor with over 35 years of teaching experience. My name is Marion Abbott and I am a graduate of the Musical Theatre Performance Program at Sheridan Institute, where I was immediately hired to work upon graduating. My specialty is Musical Theatre and Musical Theatre Performance, for all levels, all ages. I am an expert Audition Coach. I also teach Pop, Jazz, Gospel and Classical RCM Grades Preliminary to Grade 6. My teaching style focuses on selecting curated songs that will build your confidence and skill level and giving practical, easy to apply tips that will have you feeling better about your performance immediately. In lessons we will work on tone, placement, breath, intention, phrasing, diction, embracing your whole body as your instrument and finding the maximum emotional colours to share with your audience. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced singer, my lessons are designed to elevate your abilities and get you excited about new songs and new performing opportunities.
