Abdelhamid - Your piano teacher

I'm a pianist and music educator trained at the Conservatoire National de Rabat in Morocco, where I studied music theory and harmony and earned my Level 5 certification in 2017. After completing my formal training, I continued developing my musical skills independently, staying immersed in both classical and contemporary playing. Over the past 2+ years, I've taught students of all ages and levels from complete beginners to more advanced learners. One of my proudest teaching moments was guiding a young student through their preparation to successfully qualify for a music competition. As a performer, I've played 5 live performances, including one that filled a small theater in Morocco an experience that shaped how I think about musicality, stage presence, and connecting with an audience, all of which I bring into my lessons. My teaching style blends solid classical foundations technique, theory, and harmony with a flexible, modern approach. I believe strong fundamentals matter, but I also adapt to what motivates each student, whether that's classical repertoire, pop songs, or music they simply love listening to. Some students need structure and discipline to grow; others learn best through exploration and creativity. I meet each student where they are and build from there. Lesson materials are chosen based on the student I use a mix of classical method books and repertoire alongside contemporary pieces, adapting to each student's goals and interests. Every lesson also includes elements of music theory and harmony, which I studied in depth at the conservatory, so students build a real understanding of why music works, not just how to play what's in front of them.
