Jon-Mykul - Get to know your vocal coach
I'm Jon-Mykul Bowen, an actor, singer and voice teacher. I've started my training in Musical Theater and trained for five years in professional musicals before moving to New York to study acting. During that time, I've studied singing, as well as trained as a singing teacher with New York Vocal Coaching and as a certified Level II teacher with Meisner in Music, a way to sing while also performing and embodying your voice. As a working actor myself, I know the ins and outs of what it takes to perform on stage. I specialize in crafting specific vocal exercises that help develop your voice while also training you to stay grounded and imaginative while singing, leading to a more fun and easy way to perform! To me, as a person who is not a 'natural singer' and had to train his voice, I had to work bit by bit to learn, so I'm sensitive to singers who do not feel confident in their ability or growth. Looking for a tutor who gives you personal feedback and guidance with custom on the spot exercises to help you develop your singing? Performing in a production or in public and you want a non-judgmental eye on your work? Or do you just want to spend time getting a new hobby or skill that gives you so much joy? Then book an online lesson with me and let's unlock your singing in the moment!
