RCM Level 10 Violin Instructor with 15+ Years of Experience | Personalized Lessons

I am a dedicated violin instructor with over 15 years of playing experience and have achieved my Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Level 10 certification in Violin. Throughout my musical journey, I have had the opportunity to perform in orchestras and ensembles, where I developed strong skills in collaboration, musical interpretation, performance, and discipline. These experiences have allowed me to gain a well-rounded understanding of both solo and ensemble playing while fostering a lifelong passion for music and music education. As a teacher, I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to meet their individual learning style, goals, and pace. My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and structured, with an emphasis on creating a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress. I focus on building a strong technical foundation through proper posture, bow hold, intonation, rhythm, tone production, and musical expression, while also helping students develop effective practice habits that lead to steady improvement. In addition to technical skills, I encourage students to understand the music they are playing by incorporating elements of music theory, ear training, sight-reading, and expressive interpretation into lessons whenever appropriate. Whether a student is picking up the violin for the very first time, preparing for RCM examinations, participating in school or youth orchestras, or simply learning for personal enjoyment, I am committed to providing personalized instruction that helps them build confidence, develop strong musicianship, and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for music.
